Blind Plants?

Something interesting with Blind Tomato plants from this season that's worth noting. I grew the Dutch variety, which has a working name of Duncan's and from 10 seedlings I potted up, 6X were blind, although I didn't immediately pick up on the fact. (Sorry Woz) I assumed it was either the cold, or because I added a Blood & Bone fertiliser to the mix when I pricked them out.

While visiting my friend today (seed donor) he showed me one of his, it was blind too, but his were direct sown, so the fertiliser didn't play a part with his becoming blind. Maybe it was a trait with the plants, I know another variety of mine has done it for years and again this year.

I have even resorted to cutting the tops off the seedlings to force an axillary bud to form. From the 4 seedlings that weren't blind all had weak growing tips, but ended up being strong enough to grow when the time came.
